Farmstead Lejas Varicēni
In “Lejas Varicēni” Smiltene parish groups of students and youth are invited to:
- Learn about the principles of permaculture;
- Gain experience of an alternative, ecological lifestyle;
- Make music together with the folklore group “Cornflower”, as well as try your hand folk instrument playing, going to games, dancing dances, singing songs at fire;
- Sleep in a hay hotel;
- Take a look at devices, that generate alternative energy – trianS solar panel house, sun collector for hot water, as well as devices powered by pedaling or one’s own strength (A washing machine with pedals, wood chopping device, pedalable electro-energy generator).
